  • About Us

Welcome to Russian Blue Jewellery. I'm Tressa, the heart and hands behind this unique brand. My journey into jewellery-making began in 2018, sparked by a blacksmithing course for my younger stepson. Although blacksmithing wasn't my calling, it led me to the delicate art of goldsmithing, igniting a passionate journey.

Balancing my career as an orthopaedic surgeon, I couldn't follow a traditional goldsmithing path. Instead, I sought knowledge from experts across the UK and New York, blending time-honoured techniques with contemporary design.

My work is deeply influenced by my medical background, each piece reflecting the healing power and elegance of the human form. Crafted in precious metals and gemstones, my designs celebrate the intricate beauty of our skeletal structure.

This craft is more than jewellery-making; it's about weaving stories and depth into every creation. At Russian Blue, our commitment lies in producing timeless designs that resonate personally with each wearer. As you delve into my range, you'll discover pieces that offer more than style – they are imbued with narrative and crafted with utmost care and quality.

    Why 'Russian Blue Jewellery'?

Russian Blue Jewellery is named after Harvie, my Russian Blue cat, whose blend of grace and vulnerability is a perfect parallel to the qualities I admire in the human form.

Choosing 'Russian Blue Jewellery' as the name was a conscious decision to forge a unique identity for my work, distinct from my medical career. It symbolises the fusion of my professional insights and personal inspirations, resulting in jewellery that embodies both the dignity of its feline muse and the richness of human emotion.
